Cycling is also the "tourism practiced by traveling by bicycle". But cycling is something more than this: it is a way of "approaching and meeting" places and people. There are two main characteristics that characterize the tourist offer of cycle tourism: the first concerns the speed of movement, the second instead the destination of the movement. As regards the speed of movement, in fact, cycle tourism offers, unlike the means of transport traditionally used for travel, a movement at a speed on a human scale; by its nature, it is slow but - more importantly - sustainable, because it allows you to enjoy the direct relationship with the environment without damaging it. The direct consequence of all this is that, in the case of cycle tourism, we can no longer speak of a trip which is the sum of a move and a "stay" in a certain place but, we could instead say that the "trip coincides with the move ": it allows you to" live "the routes, appreciating not only the emerging environmental or cultural singularities, but allowing you to enter into a deeper contact with the landscape, be it natural or urban, with its culture and its tradition.
